Driven by storytelling

Operating at the interface between orchestral and electronic realms, Madison Willing is a composer, producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist, whose tactile and intimate musical approach makes her one of the most unique and exciting voices redefining classical music today.
Inhabiting a rich and spacious sonic landscape, her music contains a strong visuality that speaks to her background as a composer for film and television. Classically trained in flute and piano, her soundtrack credits are extensive and growing, having written critically-acclaimed scores for Requiem starring Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones, The Last of Us), BBC Arts’s Paula Rego: Secrets and Stories and Acorn TV’s Signora Volpe S2, as well as assisting Martin Phipps on all ten episodes of Netflix’s The Crown S5.
Metabolising varying styles, approaches, and emotive writing within a wholly distinctive artistic spirit, Madison Willing levitates somewhere on the precipice between sight and sound. Most recently, she has released her debut album 'Birth LP' on Exit Records, premiered her self-directed dance film ‘Thinking of You’ on Nowness, and is currently working on a new album with electronic music pioneer dBridge. This unique collaboration, blending classical and electronic genres, will have a debut live performance at the Institute of Contemporary Arts on February 8th, 2025.
Madison’s extensive training includes an MA in Composing from The National Film & Television School, an MA in Music from Edinburgh University, Jazz Studies and Classical Orchestration from Junior Royal Academy and Flute and Piano Studies from Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
